After 6 years with OMD, Autumn has decided to join Horizon Media in Los Angeles as the EVP of Digital, Managing Partner where she will be leading both the digital and analytics teams in the West come mid-October.
Autumn previously held the position of Head of Digital, West Coast for OMD, where she helped craft the vision for how all digital channels drive existing and new clients’ businesses.
Autumn has significant experience in influencing and inspiring all teams and functions across the region to ensure the digital vision comes to life in the work - and leading ongoing digital thought leadership and education internally and externally. With the complex and always shifting digital space, she integrated with and across the broader teams (creative partners, media owners and most of all, clients).
Autumn’s focus has been on insuring OMD’s Digital Strategy and Investment vision and practices consistently delivered for clients. Prior to that, she spent the past several years helping to lead and evolve OMD’s digital analytics offering. Before OMD, Autumn spent many years focused on the automotive vertical. She spent 3 years at Toyota where she developed their internal analytics team supporting the Toyota, Lexus and Scion brands. She also worked on Nissan and Infiniti, as the Manager of Business Intelligence at The Designory.
Jenny has been in technology-driven marketing (on and offline) for over 30 years. She has worked across Australia, Asia, America and Europe and is focused on driving innovation, growth and the evolution of the digital marketing industry.
Jenny was appointed to her current role as CMO of market-leading comparison service comparethemarket.com.au, to fast-track the company’s transformation into a truly customer-centric business by diversifying its consumer interactions and relationships. She is also responsible for evolving one of Australia’s most-loved brand assets – the meerkats.
Jenny is an active participant in digital industry associations, and speaks frequently at conferences on various aspects of digital and the impact it has had on both the marketing and advertising industries. She has developed and run training programs for AdSchool and private clients, and has participated at board level on change management, particularly in relation to digital.
With a strong focus on digital, jenny has worked with marketers, agencies and media companies to implement major digital change either through the evolution or the creation of totally new business models.
Brendon Cook founded oOh!media in 1989. With over 39 years’ experience in outdoor advertising, Brendon has been at the forefront of the Out Of Home advertising business in Australia and New Zealand, creating a multi-award winning company and being actively involved in pioneering the industry’s move into digital.
Under Brendon’s leadership, the business continues to deliver strong growth through organic growth, strategic acquisitions and the development and introduction of several new environments to capitalise on the growth in digital and people’s increasing habits away from home.
Brendon is a founding and current board member of the Outdoor Media Association and was instrumental in the development of the MOVE (Measurement of Outdoor Visibility and Exposure) project, a system that allowed for improved accuracy in reporting measurable outcomes to clients using Out Of Home media.
Brendon is the International Vice President of the Federation European Publicite Exterieur (FEPE) a Global Out Of Home industry body, the first Australian to sit on the Board in the organization’s 50 year history.
Chris has been the Member Services Manager at the IAB NZ since 2014. In this role Chris has managed the IAB’s 6 councils, organised member events on topics such as Programmatic and Viewability, managed the IAB’s training & education program and in the last two years produced the IABNZ Awards celebrating the Digital Media industry in New Zealand.
He has an extensive background in business ownership with a focus on marketing and a keen interest in technology and the Internet.
As a seasoned digital advertising specialist and ‘sustainability warrior’, Josh has recently joined Stuff from Trade Me. As the Head of Advertising, he transitioned Trade Me's digital advertising business to a data-lead audience insights business, increasing revenue from $14m to $20m, while grandfathering $5m in unsustainable business partnerships.
Previously, Josh founded NZ's largest advertising network Adhub, where he was Managing Director for five years, with exclusive representation of more than 40 websites,10 staff and $5m in revenue.
Josh also led the Accidental Eco Warriors campaign about Trade Me’s positive impact on diverting waste from landfill and formed the sustainable Trade Me group of 60 employees. He has has also held positions at TVNZ, IABNZ and APN/ACP Media.
Melanie Gielen is a sales, operations and programmatic specialist with extensive experience in working for a number of NZ Media owners such as TVNZ, Stuff and Mediaworks Limited. With more than 11 years’ experience, Melanie played the lead operations role in the launch of New Zealand's first Ondemand video platform in 2007 (TVNZ Ondemand), before she moved into a Sales Management role for Trade Me Jobs.
More recently she has been working at Mediaworks as the Head of Ad Operations & Monetisation, where she's responsible for digital monetisation, business strategies and leading successful Ad Operations team while leading the on-going development of the business's digital product.
Simon Birkenhead has worked his whole career in online marketing. Prior to moving from London to Auckland to be CEO of KPEX in July 2018, he was European MD at digital benchmarking business L2, where he advised CMOs and CDOs at many of the world's biggest brands on how to maximise the impact of digital investments.
Before L2, Simon held global executive roles at Google, Telefónica and 3M. He has Masters degrees from Cambridge University and London Business School, and writes movie screenplays in his spare time.

Prior to joining The Trade Desk in 2017, she worked at leading media technology company AOL International, Australia, as Head of Platform Sales. Stephanie brings over eight years of industry-related experience, beginning her career as a Sales Coordinator at Sensis, where she sold online advertising solutions to media agencies and brands. She also serves a member of the IAB’s Video Committee.
Stephanie holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Sydney Business School and a Bachelor of Media and Communications from the University of Technology Sydney.
Ricky is currently Managing Director of Unruly AUNZ, where he believes in utilising consumer research, actionable insight and market awareness, to help his clients supercharge their digital video campaigns and drive business impact.
Having worked in the industry for over 15 years, Ricky has extensive experience on both the buy and sell sides of the advertising fence. Throughout his career at media agencies and publishers, he has worked with major global and local brands within FMCG, Auto, Finance, Retail as well as other prominent categories.
Ricky is a passionate advocate of innovation to improve the consumer experience, and has continually strived to push the boundaries for his organisation in an ever-changing digital landscape.
In his previous role as Chief Investment Officer for Maxus, Ricky oversaw all major investment across the agency. He upskilled his team to become leaders in media mix modelling - in turn helping their clients to drive efficiencies through screen agnostic planning and fluid investment across the media mix.
As Country Manager, Australia, Adele provides support to all assets of the business while also helping lead and evaluate new market and growth opportunities. With 10+ years of digital experience, Adele has carved out a reputation as one of the top authorities on programmatic media trading in Australia and the broader APAC region. Securing a role at ninemsn in the digital sales team after finishing University, Adele got her first taste of the power of technology in the digital ecosystem, running and optimising performance campaigns using Atlas. For Adele, technology has allowed her to develop a childhood love of solving puzzles into a career focused on tackling complex issues for digital publishers.
Joining Yahoo!7, Adele found and lead its Direct Response business, using one of the first real time trading platforms RightMedia. In 2012, Adele joined Rubicon Project, at that time, an up and coming technology player now synonymous with programmatic trading. Basketball fanatic Guy joined the Digital Commons team from his role as National Sales Director at Mi9 NZ.
Graduating from Auckland University with a BA in film and politics, Guy followed his passion for film into roles at Paramount Pictures and Sony Pictures in London.
It was on his return to the sunnier climes of Sydney that he discovered Digital MEdia at Mi9 (now known as Nine Digital).
Matt Bale is one of New Zealand’s most distinguished Media Strategists, being named the CAANZ Most Inspiring Media Person for 2015.
He co-founded the leading independent media agency MBM in 2010 after 14 years with multinational advertising agencies in NZ and internationally, including OMD, Clemenger BBDO, Starcom, BLM and Saatchi & Saatchi.
